Space Oddity appeared on the album of the same name in 1969. It was used by the BBC for its coverage of the first landing on the moon. It featured a stylophone - an early basic synthesizer (1967) made famous by Rolf Harris. Producers George Martin and Tony Visconti rejected producing it. So you can't always get it right. Visconti went on later to be his producer though. Life on Mars appeared on "Hunky Dory" album on 1971 and was a single in 20013. Bowie based in on the chords for "My Way". Bowie ranked 29 in BBC's 2002 poll of the 100 greatest Britons. Churchill won. Whose music would you prefer to listen to? Bowie has sold almost 200 million albums. Stephen Baker arranged this track and we all love it.
